Over my three years at LCC, I've found myself drawn to writing rather than outright graphic design, which has culminated in my final two projects: 'The Codger' - a semi-satirical golf magazine and 'Powering Personality' - an advertising campaign for Pedigree. In both projects, I spent time writing and designing in equal measure.
The Codger
Inspired by the late Henry Longhurst, The Codger is a magazine which aims to put the spotlight back on great golf writing through a collection of interviews, opinion, story, satire and illustration, shunning the usually endless jargon on clubs, courses, techniques and the like.
A large part of Pedigree's domination of the dog food market can be attributed to their incredible advertising. Despite, in fact, often being inferior in quality to their competitors, consumers have bonded to the brand through its emotional marketing. I wanted to work with this successful model and create a new campaign for Pedigree and thus 'Powering Personality' was born.
